Most of our clients are small startups up to about 500 employee corporations in the Biotechnology Industry. We cover STEM roles in Clinical Oncology, Pharma, CRO and the Life Sciences space.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our service begins with a free initial consultation ranging from 15-60 minutes. We start by Building Trust through openness and honesty. The goal of that consultation is to get insights into your needs by asking thoughtful questions.
Once we understand the challenge, we will put together a plan to help address the problem. We do this by presenting you with current best practices and market knowledge.
Then, if you like, we can help you execute that plan.
WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
Act with Empathy. Reverse engineered, we believe that success starts with happy clients.
We get happy clients when we create a good plan, agree on a set of KPI’s to be hit each week to execute that plan. Then, if CYP is executing the plan, we really try to over-deliver on those KPIS.
Typical KPI’s can include things like “Cost to Hire”, “Candidate Meetings Set” or “Candidate CVs submitted” etc.

Our Recruitment consultants often follow our clients’ technical processes. In the case where the client does not have a preference, CYP uses industry standard, best practices based upon our experience working with global firms in the marketplace.

We are a boutique firm specializing in Biotech/Life Science industry in the US and Japan markets. The two common services we offer are “On-Site RPO” Or “Contingent Candidate Search”.
WHAT DOES RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) MEAN?
RPO is one of the ways we help STEM companies build the future by connecting them with skilled professionals.Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) is when a company transfers all or part of it’s recruitment to an external provider. An RPO provider can act as an extension of a company’s HR or Resourcing function.
An RPO provider can deliver the necessary staff, technology, and methodology needed to fulfill your recruitment requirements. You can utilize our RPO Service by using one or more of our recruitment consultants to act as an extension of your talent acquisition team, on-site/off-site, or through a combination of both.

CAN YOU WORK OUT OF MY APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEM (ATS)?
In today’s world, connectivity is easy and inexpensive. Our team members typically work in clients’ ATS systems using web access or a remote desktop solutions. Such systems are very easy to set up. We also have client’s that like to use Google Sheets. We use whatever is easiest for you.
IS MY DATA SAFE?
Even though we have a culture of honesty and empathy, we still take data privacy VERY seriously. In this day and age, complacency is usually a company's biggest vulnerability. This said, we have a comprehensive set of controls in place around employee and physical security, such as having a monitored and tracked ATS with no export options, confidentiality agreements with employees, security personnel, etc.
WHO RUNS CYP?
Daniel, the founder and MD or CYP, has been connecting clients with skilled professionals since starting CYP in 2012. In 2019 CYP expanded into the Japan marketplace and narrowed in on serving the STEM Biotech market. When I’m not working, I enjoy hanging out in the kitchen with my two girls, long strolls in Tokyo with my wife or hitting the gym to try and keep in shape.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS?
We help STEM companies build the future by connecting them with skilled professionals.
We have two pricing models. RPO and Contingency. The pricing for each of these varies from market to market. We are happy to provide you with a quote after our initial consultation together.
WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS?
We have two sets of terms. RPO and Contingency. The minimum commitment time for RPO is 90 days and the minimum hourly rate is $12.95 per hour. For Contingency Recruitment, our rates vary between 12% to 40%, depending on what market we are in.
HOW DO YOU PROTECT OUR BRAND?
